Policy of Independence, Impartiality, Confidentiality & Integrity

Saudi Industrial Inspection Services Co. (QI) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of independence, impartiality, confidentiality, and integrity in all inspection and related activities. This policy is following the requirements of ISO/IEC 17020:2012 and applies to all employees, management, subcontractors, and any other parties involved in Qi’s operations.

 

Independence & Impartiality

QI ensures that all inspection activities are conducted independently and impartially, free from any external pressures, financial influences, or conflicts of interest that could affect the outcome. To maintain independence and impartiality:

  • Organizational Structure: Qi’s organizational structure is designed to minimize any risk of undue influence. The inspection body operates independently from commercial interests, suppliers, manufacturers, or clients being inspected.
  • Conflict of Interest: Employees must declare any potential conflicts of interest that may affect their impartiality. Employees involved in inspections shall not have any financial or personal interest in the outcomes of the inspection.
  • Risk Management: Regular risk assessments are conducted to identify potential threats to impartiality, and preventive measures are implemented to eliminate or mitigate such risks.
  • It aims to provide self-dependent judgment as result of inspection, testing, assessment or certification free of any effect.

Confidentiality

QI understands the importance of safeguarding the confidentiality of client information. As such:

  • Protection of Information: All client information obtained during inspection activities is treated as strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party without explicit consent, unless required by law or regulatory authorities.
  • Non-disclosure Agreements: All personnel involved in inspection activities, including contractors, are required to sign confidentiality agreements to ensure sensitive information is protected.
  • Data Security: Qi ensures that proper measures are taken to secure electronic and physical data, ensuring that access to information is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Integrity

QI is committed to ensuring that all inspection activities are carried out with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity. To ensure this:

  • Ethical Standards: Employees and contractors are expected to adhere to the company’s code of ethics, conducting inspections with honesty, fairness, and respect for all parties.
  • Competence: All personnel involved in inspection activities are qualified and competent, having received the appropriate training and certification to perform their duties.
  • Transparency: Qi is transparent in its dealings with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders. Inspection findings are reported accurately, without any manipulation or bias.

This policy is central to the operations of Saudi Industrial Inspection Services Co. (Qi) and is continuously reviewed and updated to reflect any changes in the regulatory or operational landscape. All personnel are expected to adhere strictly to this policy to uphold the company’s commitment to delivering inspection services of the highest quality, in line with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17020:2012.
